hey guys,
I want some help with my car. I have a videoclip on my YouTube channel with the sound of the motor of my f20 116i. Is this sound normal? This is my first BMW.

It sounds a bit rough. Is the oil level correct?
When was the last oil service done? Interval for these engines are way too long with 30K km. Best each year or max every 15K km.
Could be that the injectors are a bit contaminated. Did you already try to add some injector cleaner to clean them?
Worst case it is the timing chain, but difficult tot hear and diagnose based on YouTube clip.

Come to think of it, is this sound only during the first minute after starting? If yes, then this is normal and this is the wastegate rattle that you hear. Once warmed up, after 1minute, it should be fine.
If this is constant then something else is wrong.
